Dr. Pairach Piboonrungroj is the founding director of MICE Excellence Centre at the Faculty of. Economics, Chiang Mai University. The focus of the MICE Excellence Centre are to develop human resource, database and research in the MICE industry of Chiang Mai province and the Lanna region (Northern) region of Thailand. Dr Pairach is also appointed by the governor of Chiang Mai as one of the MICE city committee. Since 2018. His education background started with a First Class Honour degree in Bachelor of Economics at Chiang Mai University. Then he won the Royal Thai Government Scholarship to study Master of Science (Logistics and Operations Management with Distinction) and PhD (Supply Chain Management) degree at Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Dr. Pairach is one of the first who passed certified meeting professional (CMP) by the Convention Industrial Council (CIC) and a Certified Exhibition Professionals (CEM) by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE). Dr. Pairach was recently appointed as an acting Associate Dean of the College of Maritime Studies and Management of Chiang Mai University since May 2017 and currently an Associate Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University since May 2019.
